PAYMENT

​

a) Customers are required to pay a 50% NON -REFUNDABLE deposit on the date of ordering all garments or alterations services.

​

b) No goods may be removed from the premises until full payment of the order has been fulfilled. In cases where a cheque is paid, goods will not be released until the cheque has been cleared by the bank, which could take up to ten working days, unless it is supported with a valid cheque guarantee card to the value of the amount required.

​

ALL GARMENTS REMAIN THE PROPERTY OF MATTHEW O’BRIEN UNTIL PAID FOR IN FULL.

​

c) Customers should retain their sales contracts, and any other receipts as proof of purchase, and be sure to have read this TERMS AND CONDITIONS NOTICE and fully understand its requirements.

d) All items purchased are non-returnable/refundable.

ALTERATIONS

Customers can expect their First fitting to be normally carried out approximately 4 weeks before the wedding/event, unless the sales order is for a ‘SHORT ORDER’ or late order, in which case first fittings may be carried out during the week of the wedding and possibly even the day before.

a) Garments that are designed to be worn with underwear, will require a suitably structured bra/lingerie is advisable but at the customers personal choice.

b) It is ESSENTIAL that customers bring their shoes and any underwear being worn with their garment to their fitting appointments.

​

c) Customers are asked to make themselves available for all fittings and alterations when reasonably required and should be prepared to attend for at least three fittings.

​

d) After the sales order contact has been signed, Matthew O’Brien CANNOT AND WILL NOT accept any responsibility in respect of any changes which may occur in the Customers size and body shape.

​

Please note: That measurements will be taken at the first fitting and signed and dated. If customers have a significant change in body shape or weight following the sales order being placed, it is their responsibility to inform Matthew O’Brien as soon as possible.

​

It is not policy to take in garments by any more than one dress size (maximum 2”) as this could adversely affect the style and look. It is at the customers risk if more than this is required to be taken in.

​

Letting out of all garments is also not advisable, and is at the risk of the customer should they decide on this requirement.

​

Advice taken from Matthew O’Brien or a member of the team is taken at the customers own risk and personal choice ,Matthew O’Brien and team cannot be held responsible for any decisions  made about the alteration of any garment which are deemed unsatisfactory after any alterations are completed , if the customer requested them .

Event Terms 

 

TICKETS

  •  Matthew O’Brien will not be responsible for any ticket that is lost, stolen or destroyed and tickets cannot be replaced.

  • Customers are advised to check their tickets upon receipt as mistakes cannot always be rectified. Customer should contact Matthew O’Brien immediately upon receipt if there is a mistake.

  • A ticket is valid for one admission for the Event only.

  • Matthew O’Brien reserve the right to provide alternative tickets/seating configurations at the Event should the staging of the Event so require e.g. due to unavoidable seating changes.

  • Seating is allocated by ticket type but not individually reserved. Vip allocation is the first and second row with standard show seating third and fourth. Each allocated area pays the same regardless of row.

  • Matthew O’Brien will not be responsible for gift bags that are not collected on arrival or left at any of their venues and will not replace or send these bags out after event is over

 

RETURNS AND REFUND-

  • Tickets cannot be returned to matthew O’Brien after purchase, unless the Event is cancelled,

  • Refunds for cancelled Events will only be given by matthew O’Brien under the instruction of the Event Promoter.

  •  These terms and conditions do not and shall not affect the Customer’s statutory rights.

PRICE AND PAYMENT

  • The price of the ticket shall be the price set at the time the Customer’s order is accepted

  • No order will be accepted until Matthew O’Brien receives full payment.

  • Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number.

DELIVERY

  • Depending on the type of event, tickets may either be delivered to the address specified by the Customer, printed off by the Customer, collected from our store

  •  Standing tickets will be sent via Secure Mail and must be signed for unless the Customer has chosen to collect from the venue box office.

CHANGE TO EVENT

  • Matthew O’Brien reserve the right to make alterations to the published Event programme where reasonably necessary.

USE

  • The tickets purchased are for Customer’s own personal use and may not be transferred or resold to any other person or body under any circumstances or used as part of any promotion or competition or for commercial gain. Where there has been any resale or attempted resale of any tickets (or other breach of this term), Matthew O’Brien reserves the right to cancel the relevant tickets with immediate effect and refuse admission to Customers using that ticket.

  • Matthew O’Brien reserves the right to cancel any ticket purchased by Customers who Matthew O’Brien reasonably believes to be associated with any ticket broker or tout.

CANCELLATION

  • Where an Event is cancelled or re-scheduled, Matthew O’Brien will use reasonable endeavours to notify the Customer using the details provided at the time of order. Matthew O’Brien does not guarantee that the Customer will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the Event.

  • Tickets will usually remain valid and refund requests will usually be accepted up until 1 week prior to the revised date, or 3 days after notification of the change (whichever is the later) unless otherwise notified, as instructed by the Event Promoter. In the event of a date change at short notice (within 1 week of the Event) Mathew O’Brien  as agent for the Event Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to notify Customers who purchased tickets from Matthew O’Brien of the conditions that apply and if these are not acceptable, offer a refund as instructed by the Event Promoter.

  • Please check before travelling that an Event has not been cancelled or rescheduled.

ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

  •  Each Event may be subject to specific entry restrictions or requirements dependant on the Venue. Customers are advised to check the details of each Event before attending.

  • The management and/or party appointed by Matthew O’Brien (the “Management”) reserves the right to refuse entry to an Event in reasonable circumstances, including but not limited to health and safety, licensing reasons or where a ticket is void.

  • Subject to the discretion of the Event Promoter or Matthew O’Brien, no refunds or compensation of any kind will be offered to Customers who are refused entry or removed from the Venue.

  • For certain Events, the original purchaser may be asked to present the actual credit/debit card used for the purchase along with their tickets and receipt in order to gain entry to the Venue. Failure to present the valid card and receipt may cause Customers to be refused entry to the Event. No name changes or letters of authorisation will be accepted under any circumstances.

  • Certain Events may be subject to age restrictions. Customers are advised to check the details for the Event prior to purchasing any tickets.

  •  Restrictions may be in place in the performance section of the Venue.

  • Certain Events may be subject to food and drink restrictions. Customers are advised to check the details for the Event prior to attending the Venue.

  • Certain Events may be subject to restrictions in respect of cameras, video or audio recording equipment. Customers are advised to check the details for the Event prior to attending the Venue.

  •  Subject to the nature of the event and ticket type, Customers who either leave during an Event or arrive after an Event has started will only be granted admission or readmission to the Event at the discretion of the Management.

  • If a Customer experiences any problems with their seating or enjoyment prior to or during the Event, the Customer must inform Venue staff immediately as issues cannot always be resolved after the Event.

  • Customers should check the Venue or Event website for details of the sale of any official merchandise.

  • In respect of events where animals are permitted, animals will not require tickets but may have to be registered (with the exception of assistance dogs). Customers are advised to check the details of the Event prior to attending the Venue.

LIABILITY

  • All property brought on to the Venue is brought at the Customer's risk and Matthew O’Brien  shall not in any way be responsible for any theft, loss or other damage in respect of such property.

  •  Neither Matthew O’Brien nor the Event Promoter will be responsible for any loss, damage, death or injury howsoever caused (other than death or personal injury resulting from the negligence of Matthew Obrien or the Event Promoter) unless Matthew O’Brien and/or the Event Promoter has breached its legal obligations and such loss or damage is a direct and reasonably foreseeable result of such breach.

  • Subject to the foregoing, with regard to personal property brought to the Venue, the liability of the relevant party shall be limited to the reasonable cost of either repairing or replacing such personal property, subject to fair wear and tear.

  • Please note that loud music or noise can damage hearing and Customers who attend the Event do so at their own risk.

  • Liability for the cancellation or rescheduling of an Event, or for material changes to an Event, will be limited to the refund as set out under “Returns and Refunds”.

DATA PROTECTION

  • The Customer acknowledges that filming and recording authorised by Matthew O’Brien from time to time. The Customer consents to being included in such films and recordings and the use, reproduction, storage, distribution and broadcasting of such films and recordings (including any copies made) by Matthew O’Brien without payment or notice.

  • From time to time, you may be asked to submit personal information about yourself (e.g. name and e-mail address) in order to receive or use services on our website. Such services include e-mail updates, sponsors deals (which makes up a part of your fashion show gift bags).

  • By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable Matthew O'Brien to provide you with the services you select. Any personal information you provide to us will only be used by us, our official event sponsors, and partners. This will not be disclosed unless we are obliged or permitted to by law to do so.

  • We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as you use the service you have requested, and remove it in the event that the purpose has been met or when you no longer wish to continue your subscription.

  • Changes to this privacy policy

  • If this privacy policy changes in any way, we will place an updated version on this page. Regularly reviewing this page ensures you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances, if any, we will share it with other parties.
